Jeremy Tran

Executive Director & COO, Gold House

There is no bigger leap of faith than immigrants coming to America with nothing more than the courage to build better lives for their families.”

Jeremy Tran was raised in Little Saigon, a bustling Vietnamese American community in Southern California. As the child of immigrants, he was raised to value stability, especially when it came to career decisions. Like many in his community, he pursued what he believed was the most secure path: law school, followed by a high-powered career in corporate law. For nearly seven years, Tran practiced entertainment litigation at a major firm, navigating high-stakes cases and climbing the ranks. But the deeper he went into the world of law, the more he found fulfillment in the community work he did on the side, supporting organizations and individuals that reminded him of his roots. This internal conflict between traditional “success” and a desire to create a deeper social impact would eventually push him to make a life-altering decision. In 2018, Tran left behind the security of Big Law to co-found Gold House, an Asian Pacific collective focused on reshaping cultural power and uplifting rising leaders. Though risk-taking didn’t come naturally to him, Tran credits the resilience of his immigrant parents for giving him the courage to forge a new path.

Building Gold House from the ground up, he helped transform it into one of the most influential platforms for AANHPI talent across creative, business and media sectors. What began as a leap of faith soon evolved into a movement rooted in strategy, empathy and the belief that Asian Pacific stories and the people behind them deserve visibility and opportunity.

“There is no bigger leap of faith than immigrants coming to America with nothing more than the courage to build better lives for their families,” he said.

As Executive Director and COO of Gold House, Tran leads initiatives that empower the next generation of Asian Pacific creators and entrepreneurs. At the heart of Gold House’s mission is the belief that visibility is only the first step; what’s equally important is building the infrastructure to sustain progress.

Under his leadership, Gold House has launched several impactful programs:

A key focus of Tran’s work has been partnering with major studios, tech companies and media institutions to prioritize authentic storytelling. For Tran, only those who’ve lived the stories can truly tell them.

For those waiting for permission to lead, he offers this advice: don’t wait.

“If the room you want to be in is not opening its door,” he says, “build a new house.”
